HubSpot AI Credit Calculator: Estimate Your Monthly Credit Usage Before You Get the Bill

Try the HubSpot AI Credit Calculator

HubSpot's AI features are becoming part of everyday work for sales, service, marketing, and ops teams. Every prospecting agent run, meeting recording, and AI-generated summary draws from the same monthly pool of HubSpot Credits. Most teams don't know how fast they're using that pool until an overage notice shows up.

We built the HubSpot AI Credit Calculator to fix that. In a few minutes, you can estimate how many credits your team will use each month, see how that compares to what your plan includes, and find out what it will cost if you go over.

Why HubSpot Credits Are Easy to Underestimate

Credits work differently than most people expect. Here's what trips teams up:

One pool for the whole account. Your credit allotment is based on the highest edition you own across all hubs. You don't get a separate allotment per hub, so marketing's AI usage and sales' AI usage come out of the same bucket.

Unused credits don't roll over. Whatever you don't use this month is gone. That makes it important to size usage accurately instead of hoping a slow month balances out a busy one.

Overages add up quietly. Included credits are part of your subscription, but anything above that is billed at HubSpot's add-on rate of $0.01 per credit, sold in $10 packs of 1,000. Depending on your setup, going over can also trigger an automatic upgrade for the rest of your contract.

Usage varies by feature. Each AI feature consumes credits at its own rate, and some agents are billed in "action units" tied to their prompts. Without a model, it's hard to predict the total.

What the Calculator Does

The calculator walks you through three steps:

  1. Enter your plan. Choose your highest edition (Starter, Professional, or Enterprise), indicate whether you have Data Hub or Customer Platform (which adds credits at Professional and Enterprise), and enter the months left on your contract.

  2. Add your expected AI usage. Estimate how often each team will use HubSpot's AI features across sales, service, marketing, and operations.

  3. Review your results. See your estimated monthly credit usage, where those credits go by feature, whether you're within your included allotment, and what it would cost to cover any gap.

You can load an example to see how it works, then copy a summary of your results to share with your team or leadership.

Who It's For

The calculator is built for RevOps leaders, HubSpot admins, and GTM leaders who are:

  • Rolling out HubSpot AI features and need to set expectations for usage

  • Deciding whether to buy credit packs or upgrade editions

  • Building a budget case for AI adoption

  • Trying to explain a surprising overage

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

The calculator gives you an estimate, and real usage depends on how your teams actually use each feature. Once you're live, check the HubSpot Credits usage page in your portal. Admins can set account-level and feature-level monthly limits there, and HubSpot emails admins at 75%, 85%, and 90% of your monthly credits.

Features labeled Beta in HubSpot's rate sheet may change pricing. For custom agents and work agents, run a test and check actual usage before estimating.

Rates and allotments come from HubSpot's Product and Services Catalog and Knowledge Base, checked September 2026. HubSpot updates these periodically.
